allow users to submit similar games
Users should be able to suggest games for the "also try" section of a game and display them in a tag cloud format or something. Because right now, all platforming games in the TIGdb link to Cave Story or Knytt Stories and i think most people perusing this site would have heard of those games or played them already.

Make a 'Browse by Compo' page
If I wanted to look at competition entries for the Bootleg Demakes; Have them in a page as sorted by number of votes during the competition voting time.

Allow users to keep a list of games they've played
Allow users to keep a list of games they've played. I imagine this is fairly easy to add, seeing as you have rating information already, but there are times people have played a game but are still withholding their review.
And this information along with game tags should then be used to improve the automated suggestion system.

Allow login with OpenID
I'd like to log in with OpenID instead of creating another account and password combination.

Show submitted games on user profiles
This would be a great way to reward tigdb users for going out and finding great and rare games. That submission screen takes a lot of work after all.

Start a local repository for downloads
Some downloads work, others don't. Sure, you can google it, but it's a lot easier not having to navigate away from this page.

stream game music for games
music plays a huge part in the feel of a game. so not only would it be cool to listen to game music on a game's page for game music freaks like me, but it would help give the feel before playing

Don't automatically search when entering filters
At the moment the page refreshes every time a single filter option is changed. When using multiple filters at once this can be more time-consuming than it should be. It would be nice if there were a 'submit' and a 'clear' button that allowed the user to search when he/she has finished with the filter.

probably not a submit button, but ajax-based asynchronous refreshing instead of page reloads

Add phone as a platform
Maybe split into Windows Smartphone, Symbian, Java but I'm not sure if that is useful/necessary.

let people search more than game titles from search box
Kind of like Netflix's search box, you should be able to search with autocomplete for developers, tags, platforms, genres, etc

Put "Unreviewed" next to game rating if unreviewed
For example, "100 Invaders 3.6 <i>unreviewed</i>"
That way I know which have reviews and which don't.

Add a comment box to the submission page
Some games are hard on a website to find but are deserving of being mentioned on tigdb. It would be great to have a place where we could talk about how to find a game, or explain why we submitted or it explain some details we are not normally able to.

Add a field for "Input Type" AND one for"Joystick Support"
It'd be nice to know what type of controls a game has, eg: mouse, mouse & keyboard, etc.
And since some games are typically played with the mouse or keybourd, but they may have joystick support (or may not), so knowing if the joystick is supported would be great.8 votes -
show rating distribution
average ratings does not show "passion" such as many people loving a game and many people hating a game, which would just average out in the middle. showing the distribution makes this information clear.

Allow submission of unfinished games.
This is controversial. But there are various indie projects that are WIPs, and while not finished, are interesting and deserve attention.
For instance, contest-style games that while minimalist or perhaps unfinished and abondoned now, demonstrate creativity and innovation.
I suggest a separate section in the tigdb page marked "unfinished" that will keep these, and this way it is clear to the users you're browsing incomplete projects.
