    Report update for a game
    planned

There should be a function to report updated data for a game, may it be information about the developer/engine/screenshots or even just the download.

Many downloads link directly to a download of the latest version of a game, which is fine until it isn't the latest version anymore, which will result in the TIGdb becoming the source of a lot of outdated games or lots of broken links, especially since not every game does link to a homepage.

    Download Counter

Have a count of the number of downloads on a game, helps to be able to contrast this with the number of ratings.

Show at least 2 reviews on game's page

Recently a change has been made to by default show only the top review for a game; being able to reveal the rest by clicking a link. In the case of reviews not being rated a newer review automatically becomes the top review. I realize it's only a single click to reveal all reviews, but I fear many may not do that. It also doesn't expose new reviews if there is already a higher rated review.

    have a screenshot collage cloud

display a wall of screenshots from random games to easily explore games by screenshots. later potentially they can be arranged by game similarness

    Withdrawing a vote

The ability to completely withdraw a vote, not just change it to something different. For example, I voted on Super Mario War, but only then realized that I never played "Super" Mario War, just Mario War.
So, technically, my vote was invalid, but I wasn't able to undo the voting.

Show submitted games on user profiles

This would be a great way to reward tigdb users for going out and finding great and rare games. That submission screen takes a lot of work after all.

Add a field for "Input Type" AND one for"Joystick Support"

It'd be nice to know what type of controls a game has, eg: mouse, mouse & keyboard, etc.
And since some games are typically played with the mouse or keybourd, but they may have joystick support (or may not), so knowing if the joystick is supported would be great.

    Add phone as a platform

Maybe split into Windows Smartphone, Symbian, Java but I'm not sure if that is useful/necessary.

allow users to submit similar games

Users should be able to suggest games for the "also try" section of a game and display them in a tag cloud format or something. Because right now, all platforming games in the TIGdb link to Cave Story or Knytt Stories and i think most people perusing this site would have heard of those games or played them already.

Start a local repository for downloads

Some downloads work, others don't. Sure, you can google it, but it's a lot easier not having to navigate away from this page.

let people search more than game titles from search box

Kind of like Netflix's search box, you should be able to search with autocomplete for developers, tags, platforms, genres, etc

Put "Unreviewed" next to game rating if unreviewed

    For example, "100 Invaders 3.6 <i>unreviewed</i>"

That way I know which have reviews and which don't.

Don't automatically search when entering filters

At the moment the page refreshes every time a single filter option is changed. When using multiple filters at once this can be more time-consuming than it should be. It would be nice if there were a 'submit' and a 'clear' button that allowed the user to search when he/she has finished with the filter.

    display ratings' origins

A single number only expresses an average but does not show whether the public is united in its opinion or not. For indy games, it seems appropriate to support games that trigger a divisive response. Games the some people deeply despise and other love dearly, are probably going to be the best games in this category. Showing an average number of all ratings cannot express the passion surrounding the game.

Add a comment box to the submission page
    planned

Some games are hard on a website to find but are deserving of being mentioned on tigdb. It would be great to have a place where we could talk about how to find a game, or explain why we submitted or it explain some details we are not normally able to.

Add an indication of file size to Game Info when appropriate

It would be nice if there was some kind of indication about the file size of each game. It would be nicer if this was available in the filter so that users with dial-up or limited internet can search for games that they are able to download.

Right under the gray text area. Perhaps removing some of the spaces in the html would fix it.

    accept pingbacks from blog posts

this is a more technical thing, but i noticed when TIGSource links to game entries, the blog software pings it thinking it's another blog post. blog software does this so that the post being linked to can link back to the post about it. i thought it would be cool if we did something like that for the game entries...
